Dear Family & Friends,
E very year I look forward to Christmas time. I love the smell of cinnamon pinecones and the smell of burning candles. We have had a great year and have been blessed in so many ways.
M any things have changed as Antonio graduated from elementary school last June. He is now a 6th grader in Middle school and is in the Orchestra playing the Viola. They just had their first concert and it went really well. He is enjoying guitar lessons and doing great in school. He enjoys being apart of the youth group at church and has made new friends and went away for the first fall retreat to Ocean Park, WA this past Oct. He volunteers in the kids Awanas program at church and is a helper in Bella’s class. We are so proud him.
M ore independence is what Bella continues to show us with each passing day. She is a seeker- asking “Why?” to almost everything we say and continues to grow in her musical ways. She starts her day with a song and sings herself to sleep with a song! She is such a joy. She started the Awanas program at church and looks forward to her weekly activities with her friends as they play, sing and learn new things.
A bove average is how I would describe the new tree house in our backyard. Oscar and Antonio spent a few months researching then bought the wood and supplies to build a playhouse in the backyard. It’s a sold piece of work! It’s secure and would pass any permit inspections if needed! The kids enjoy the rock wall and slide and Grandma Volden even tried out the slide on its inaugural opening! Oscar is quite the handy man and it continues to amaze me how thorough he is in the quality of his workmanship! Oscar continues to enjoy his job at the Water Dept. and is doing really well.
N othing is impossible! For years I ( Rebecca) have enjoyed singing, but always longed to play an instrument. This past year I was able to learn to play the piano. I have been leading worship at weekly church groups and I have also been writing more songs. It’s been such a blessing to find an outlet to express what’s on my heart even though it’s been challenging and a stretching process- it is so rewarding to do something I really enjoy.
U nusually great activity in the real estate world is how I would describe my business in 2008. In the midst of staggering reports, I was so blessed with consistent sales and was awarded top selling agent of the month in July & August. I have had a great year in the real estate business and I am blessed to have such great clients who have become friends along the way.
E very year we spend holidays a bit differently. Last year we were up in Canada with Rebecca’s side of the family and this year we will be home. Rebecca has been asked to lead worship at the Christmas Eve service at our church- so we are looking forward to that! We plan on being home and taking it easy together with Oscar’s family & friends.
L ooking ahead to 2009- we pray you and your families will be blessed. We look forward to hearing from you and are excited to hear about all that is going on in your lives. To keep up with us online check out Rebecca’s Blog at http://www.rebeccadelpozo.blogspot.com/ or ordelpozo@msn.com
God Bless & Merry Christmas!
