Headin' for Camp and the latest update

Sorry it's been a while since I blogged. It's been a busy month! Oscar and I are going to camp this coming week. Royal Family Kids Camp is the nation's leading network of camps for abused, neglected and abandoned children. http://www.rfkc.org/site/c.ikIPL8MWJxE/b.3882189/k.BF9A/Home.htm

Every year our church gets volunteers together to put on a camp for kids that wouldn't qualify to go to typical kids camp because of their circumstances and abuse. This will be Oscar's 5th year going and my 2nd. He is the Upfront Team Director so he's in charge of the Dramas, skits and entertainment. I am blessed to be the camp Music Leader for the week. It's an amazing experience to be with these kids and feel the love God has for them and Jesus' hands and feet. I ask that if we come to mind, you mention us in prayer this week. I am believing for nice weather as there is a great waterfront with waterslide, boat rides and a giant blob ( I wanna try it this year!!) so we need nice weather.

I am so blessed to have my mom coming to stay with the kids while we are away and Claudia is taking care of my real estate clients as well.

We are excited and have expectant hearts to see all the Lord has in store for camp this year! Thank you for your prayers.

This past week I graduated from Ministry Training Class. It's been a 9 month commitment and a fabulous prep for ministry. It was amazing to graduate and complete the course. At the graduation the leaders, prayed over the graduates and it was awesome. The words of wisdom and prophecy were so powerful. God says I am stepping into the things I have only dreamed of and He has so much more in store... more than I could ever dream.. I do feel like I am stepping into a dream world of sorts. All I have ever wanted to do was sing and minister in the presence of the Lord and see people saved, healed and comforted. I think I've mentioned it before but I feel like my dream world and reality have collided and it's a very humbling journey. There has been some opposition from the enemy but also some neglect on my part not to protect what the Lord is doing. Not on purpose.... but it's awful how even just the littlest thing if kept in the darkness can grow and steal our joy. There have been feelings hurt, hearts mended, friendships restored and lives changed through the process and I have learned some very valuable lessons as we walk this out.

Another bit of exciting news and a part of the dream world in reality is that on Friday June 19th 2009 our church will be releasing it's first CD. The CD release concert will be amazing! It will feature the songs written and ministered by our own church family. I have been honored to be a part of the project and a few of the original songs I wrote are a part of the project.

Thanks for listening to be share and thanks for your prayers this week for camp!
